Frequently asked questions
Is a self-drafted Will legally valid in India?
Yes. Under Section 63 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, a Will drafted on plain paper, signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses, is legally valid. Registration is optional.
Is my data private?
All data is stored in your private Firestore record, accessible only to you via your Google account. We follow DPDP Act, 2023 principles.
Does this replace a lawyer?
No. For complex estates (HUF property, overseas assets, blended families) we recommend a professional review. This tool covers the typical MVP case.
